JJA Jewellery Design Awards 2017

Japan’s most prestigious jewellery competition, the JJA Jewellery Design Awards sets the stage for Japan and the world to see the excellent jewellery that Japan has to offer that is both creative and ahead of the times, showcasing pieces from the Grand Prize and Prime Minister’s Award and others. With the backdrop of highly skilled techniques and designs that proudly reflect the country’s beautiful culture and tradition, we must continue to propose new jewellery that looks towards the future.

The Awards are divided into two sections. Division I, Professional is a competition that combines avant-garde design, technique, and quality. Division II, New Talent is for new designers and students to compete their bold ideas that break through conventional concepts of jewellery design with the freedom of new expression.

As a place where creators with new possibilities – those who will keep the future of the jewellery industry alive – can realize the dream that they breathe into their jewellery, the JJA Jewellery Design Awards will continue to pursue further development of Japan’s jewellery culture as it opens up to the world.
